Dear Sir,
I have gone through the Laws of Carrom as published by ICF. I
have two queries please ?
- What are the definitions of Proper stroke and Improper
stroke
- Whether Thumbing ( hand shots) is allowed in
Doubles.
Can you guide me accordingly ?

Answer:
Dear Mr.
Satyajit,
1.a)
`Proper` shall mean in accordance with the
Laws.
b)
Improper` shall mean contrary to the Laws.
(See: Official
Laws of Carrom, page 6, INTERPRETATION)
(In simple
words a stroke with foul is an Improper stroke and is
punishable.)
2. Well
thumbing is allowed in singles and doubles both.
