Under Dogs Hyderabad taking off with winning spree from quarter
finals onwards , reaching the finals by upsetting the apple
cart of carom giants Maharashtra accounted for Karnataka to lift the
coveted Men”s Team championship title.. The victory is all
the more much sweeter for Hyderabad
whose players were in the lower rung of Indian rankings. L
Suryaprakash gave a head lead to Hyderabad when he beat JN
Shyamsunder of Karnataka a 25-12, 25-14 in a convincing
straight game victory. However, D Ravinder Goud and E
Ashok Kumar of Hyderabad succumbed meekly in spite of
winning the first game at 25-12 by loosing the next two games
at 12-25, 6-25. This meant that the second singles in
progress between MA Hakeem of Hyderabad and Zaheer Pasha of
Karnataka would decide the winner. Hakeem
took the first game at 25-13,falling into a bad patch to lose the
second at 10-25. After losing the first three boards in the
third game, Hakeem decided to go aggressive making a white slam in
the fourth board to lead at 12-9. Zaheer Pasha fought
back to go to 23-16 from this point Hakeem took three boards in a
row to win the game at 25-23 and to win the match and get to Gold
for Hyderabad.

Carrom
Demonstration in Poland
Our Carrom demonstration was very nice. The weather was
wonderful so there was no problem of playing carrom outdoor. We
started at 1 pm and there was no brake up to 8 pm. A lot of people
came and try to play but unfortunately it is not a very simple
game. We were at kids zone and there was a little too much kids
under 10 years old but they also try to play and were delighted
when some coins drop to the holes. Around 10 Indian people came and
we played carrom together. Maybe some of them join our carrom
group playing in Warsaw.
The quantity of our webside visitors has risen after the
demonstration. We will send you some photo afterwards.
Best regards,
Paulina
